Whisky Intro

During the 1-2 day course, students are welcomed to a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the Tasmanian whisky industry and taken through malt, mashing, fermenting, distilling and preparing for market.

The course starts at Hobart’s Hadley’s Orient Hotel and travels to Moo Brew Brewery and Sullivans Cove Distillery where students are taken through the process by the lead brewer and distiller before a final tasting session.

Advanced Distilling

This industry course delves into the technical side of distilling and is built on the Institute of Brewing and Distilling’s General Certificate of Distilling. Run over 5 days, it includes chemistry components, machinery and maintenance, techniques and troubleshooting. Ideal if you are already distilling. Join the Gods.
